About my musical taste
I love music! I have headphones or earbuds blasting melodies at my ears 24/7. I would love to list my favourite producers here, but since I listen to so much random music, it's nigh impossible to choose the ones I like unconditionally. My favourite genres are:
-
Symphonic/Melodic metal
-
Imperial Circus Dead Decadence.
Yomi Yori
and 謳 —Uta
1.I've definitely listened to this album more than a hundred times. It's just so energrtic and epic. I also love Here's a selection of songs I especially fancy:
-
断章を紡ぐ序曲 —
This is the overture to their second album (the one I linked below).
The part that sounds like Latin is actually spoken in a fictional language they invented,
called
Taihaisekai
. I suggest you give this song a listen even if you dislike metal, as it essentially is just a poem being read to synths and orchestral instruments. - 劇愛の呼声が溺哀の叫声を喰らう — BOO! This song is essentially a jumpscare. It immediately follows after the calm overture and starts with a loud growl and powerful instrumentals. I feel the need to warn you. It's a long a beautiful song. It deserves to be as popular as Uta.
- 狂おしく咲いた凄惨な骸は奏で、愛おしく裂いた少女は聖餐の詞を謳う — The album itself. 58 minutes of concentrated eargasmヽ(`ε´)Ψ. I've definitely listened to it more than a hundred times. It's just so energrtic and epic.

- 廃した少女は、這い寄る混沌と邂逅す。 — One of their recent songs; it has a rather unique (in my opinion) metal scream in the middle.

Unlucky Morpheus
I haven't listened to them for long enough to develop the same level of connection I have with ICDD, but they're a great band nonetheless and I enjoy their music. Also I'd put them on the Symphonic side of the
metalness
. They employ female vocals, and the songs are much less heavy compared to ICDD. Oh, and you might also be familiar with some of my picks below:- Opfer
- Angreifer
- 風のゆくえ — My favourite song by them, hands down. It sounds poignant and nostalgic. It's about love too. I do tear up a little when I listen to it. (ノ_<、).
-
So That A Star Shines at Night Sky —
This is the album
風のゆくえ
came from. I has a hopeful, late 2000s anime kind of vibe. Give it a listen!
-
GALNERYUS
They're also lighter than ICDD and can probably be described as the Japanese Dragonforce. I also think they did Touhou covers under a different sobriquet, or maybe as guests; can't recall. Many of their songs mix English and Japanese, which almost always sounds unique and, admittedly, silly: Japanese singers tend to map Japanese rhyme and rhythm onto English, which results in really weird stress patterns and unique word combinations.
- departure! and HUNTING FOR YOUR DREAM — These songs are absolutely brilliant and epic. I'm not leaving a link on purpose — I implore you to watch Hunter⨯Hunter and get attached to these songs through the emotional rollercoaster that anime is. If you watched it already, you know what I mean.
- RAISE MY SWORD — This one is a popular osu! beatmap. You can tell that by the gatling gun kick pattern.
- TEAR OFF YOUR CHAIN
-
-
Eurobeat
- The entire Initial D song collection, Dave Rogers, TOHO EUROBEAT,
Drive Your Fire,
Bloody Knife2,
and many more random doujin songs...

TOUHOU!!!1 The list is too massive to put here. Go listen to
Mahotoa Tofu Shop

Give Vibration of Womb a listen as well.
Hatsunetsumiko's
are great.
Knocked on the Door doesn't sound like a Doujin song at all; awesomeness! (≧◡≦).
- BRADIO Funky!
I might detail the genres below in the future. Right now I'd rather not spend several hours remembering the countless songs I've listened to.
